Hi hotdog - I do not have a definite answer to your question, but 2 points do occur to me:- 1. Is England not now developing an "Old Firm" situation of its own?; & 2. Surely, the "Bhoys" and the "'Gers" could hold their own in the English Premiership?
A little while ago there was a move to try and and start a UK cup competition instead of the league cup. The first couple of rounds would be within countries and the big boys would get a bye and the later rounds would be UK-wide. Could be fun.
yes there has been talk of a uk cup for a long time almost every year the league cup is played. i think it would also be a great idea especially for scotland. we will just need to wait and see. regards...
Yes i do beleive they are but the problem is that an English team would need to drop out of the premiership to allow the old firm in and the lower teams do not agree with this. thats why im asking opinions about the lower divisons maybe the coca cola championship. I do agree with you that the old firm could handle it because celtic are a bigger club than most of the premier league teams. They would also get more money which is a big factor now a days. regards.... ps unlucky for United last night you must of been guted.
Yes, but remember that the teams in the lower divisions would also object to the Old Firm pushing some of them out . The solution could be to extend the Premiership for a season and relegate 2 extra teams. One good thing about Utd. going out is that Milan are more likely to beat Liverpool!!...Cheers...Tony
How embarrasing was the dive from A.C Milan's keeper (Dida)? I have to say that is right up there with the best of all time. especially when he went off on a streture and an ice pack on his face. My beloved Celtic deserved the victory and played extreamly well. along with all the other scottish sides at the moment Rangers,Aberdeen and of course the national team its self. Great victory in paris for the scots and we will be looking for more against the Ukraine and Italy. Im glad to see that Scotland are showing evryone what they can do.
