Is there no way of stopping a player who has very clearly and obviously lost a game from simply not making a move for almost 7 days and patently delaying their inevitable downfall??  It is not an acceptable way to play the Game!!

they don't exceed the time limit there's nothing you can do about it.  However you can subsequently block them and or expose their usernames and warn others.
